Selling your home

We live by our own slogan.

Long and broad experience, combined with the best possible exposure in the right channels, makes sure you achieve the best possible price. Your Stavlund agent looks after you through the entire sale.

  1. 1

    We come to your home

    Inspection

We walk through the property and map its possibilities, challenges and the most likely group of buyers. The visit is also the basis for our valuation — set jointly by the agents from price trends, area averages, location, age and quality.

  2. 2

One plan, made for your home

    Instruction and marketing

Our agreement is easy to understand and follows Norwegian law and the guidelines of the Norwegian Association of Real Estate Agents. We book the surveyor and photographer, and tailor digital marketing to the buyers who fit your home.

  3. 3

As many interested buyers as possible

    Viewing and bidding

Your agent arrives well prepared for every viewing. During bidding all bidders are kept informed, and you receive every bid by text — or follow the round in the «Mitt hjem» app.

  4. 4

    No loose ends

    Contract meeting

You receive the draft contract, bid log and other documents in advance. We go through everything and answer questions before signing.

  5. 5

    The keys change hands

    Handover

Agent, seller and buyer meet at the property. The electricity meter is read, keys are handed over and the handover protocol is signed — on paper or electronically.

  6. 6

    Safely home

    Settlement

Our settlement department makes sure the deed and mortgage documents are correct before registration, so you receive your money as quickly as possible.

Good to know

Honest, direct — and speaking your language.

01

The Stavlund method

Our clients have a home or cabin they love. They want the qualities they appreciate to be passed on — so the property stands out from the crowd, whatever its price level.

02

Bidding

Every interested party is looked after and kept up to date by phone, text and email. Everyone gets the same chance to place a new bid — so the round feels fair. At least until someone wins.

03

NEF

Over 80% of all home sales in Norway go through an agent affiliated with the Norwegian Association of Real Estate Agents. All agents at Stavlund AS are NEF members.

04

Fixed price

We mainly work on a fixed price and explain everything you pay for before you sign. You should feel sure you have an honest and direct partner.

Borrow our moving van.

Think about it. It's a myth that you have to get rid of things when you move. Borrow our moving van and take everything you love with you. It's the least we can do — after all, you sold your home through us.

Moving tips

Congratulations — your home is sold.

Think through the details before the contract meeting: which handover date suits you? Is there furniture the buyer might want to buy? Does the buyer need to visit before handover?

  1. 1Start packing in good time, ideally 2–3 weeks before moving.
  2. 2Don't pack heavier than you can lift — boxes should not weigh more than 30 kg. About one shelf-metre of books weighs 30 kg.
  3. 3Put the heaviest items at the bottom, the lightest on top.
  4. 4Wrap glass and china in white paper. Avoid newspaper, which stains.
  5. 5Fill every gap with paper and label boxes with contents and room.
  6. 6Keep screws from dismantled furniture in labelled bags, together in one box.
  7. 7Don't pack in plastic bags. Buy bubble wrap for pictures and valuables.
